What Data We Collect

When you use EchoMe as a guest, we do not collect any personal information. Your resume content is stored only in your browser's localStorage and never transmitted to our servers.

When you create an account, we collect:

• Your email address
• Your display name (optional)
• The resume content you enter — including contact details, work experience, education, skills, and any other sections you fill in

How Your Data Is Stored

For guest users, all resume data lives exclusively in your browser's local storage. Clearing your browser data or switching devices will remove it. We never see it.

For signed-in users, your account information and resume data are stored in a PostgreSQL database managed via Prisma. Resume content is saved as a structured JSON document. We use Supabase or Railway as the database host, both of which are SOC 2 compliant providers.

We retain your data as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time (see Your Rights below).

Advertising — Google AdSense

EchoMe displays advertisements powered by Google AdSense. Google may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and other sites on the internet. These are third-party cookies set by Google, not by EchoMe.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ad Settings.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We only share data with service providers necessary to operate EchoMe (for example, our database host) and only to the extent required to provide the service.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. To request account and data deletion, please contact us at the email address below. We will process your request within 30 days.

Guest users hold no data on our servers. Clearing your browser storage is sufficient to remove all your information.
